Writing Challenges

There's a new writing challenge with a twist over at Sarah Hoyt's blog. The vignette challenge prompt apparently fell into the bit bucket somewhere along the Internet, so she put up a whole series of images that could be the basis of covers, and told us to write the blurbs for the books. Mine is a more metaphorical take on the image of a train in space.

marycatelli has a new vignette challenge on her LiveJournal. My response is from the Grissom timeline, as Reggie Waite reflects on institutional ossification in NASA.

Over at Victory Girls Blog there's a new picture and quote challenge. My response is drawn from the original Chaffee Artilect story, as Roger is reflecting on humanity's loss of technological capacity, as reflected in the radio signals he's receiving.
